Growing up, I had a cherished upbringing. My parents were loving, supportive, a little strict, and did whatever they could to give my sister and I what we wanted that was within our means.
And still to this day, they haven’t skipped a beat.
So of course, nostalgia plays a huge role during the holidays. Which brings me to the memory of a specific drink that Daddy would make for he and Mommy every Christmas morning. They each would take their first sip, close their eyes and savor.
Hilary and I were jealous. We wanted to try a sip, see what this drink was all about. But instead, we would get chocolate milk served in the same low ball glass.
Now married with two children, Sean and I have established our own traditions as a family, but this year, I wanted to bring back my parent’s Brandy Milk Punch tradition.
I can now see why they closed their eyes when they took their first sip. Delicious.
