I have lots of traditions. Some I keep year after year, and some kind of drift away. But one that I do, without fail, every single year, I shop the day after Christmas. I do. And my mission is always very specific.
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
The day after Christmas, many stores have 50% off all of their inventory. Christmas items included.
I only buy our Christmas decor and wrapping after Christmas and then I pack up and bring it out the next year.
And, being that the kids have several teachers between them with Aids, Assistants, or whatever, they all need gifts. So, my mission is to find a nice gift and get the sale price.
By buying gifts a year ahead of time and saving some bucks while doing it, I’m already in a good place next holiday season with a few less things to worry about. I have a rubbermaid bin labeled “gift tote” that I store the gifts, and I shop that bin when it comes time to give the gifts.
This isn’t skimping by any means. It’s shopping wisely.
Enjoy today’s Quick Tip Friday!
