Ahh, those were the days. But coca-cola is still alive today, and doing well.
Other than being a refreshing drink (which I am trying desperately to stop drinking as my metabolism isn’t what it used to be), there are a few other notable uses for the popular soft drink. Three of which I’m writing of today.
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
Got chewed gum in your hair? Never fear, a cup of flat coke will get it out. Simply dip the affected strands of hair into a glass of flat coke and let it sit for a minute or two. When you go to remove the chewed gum, it’s like – Presto!
Do you have a shirt with an annoying grease stain that you can’t get out? Coke to the rescue. Pour coke over the stain and let it sit for a few minutes before you throw it in the wash. Then wash regularly. Stain’s gone!
But here ‘s the best. The kicker. The grand finale.

Open a can of coke, drink it up, and let it start to work. The bubbles and chemical make-up of coca-cola makes the beverage an effective cure for getting rid of stomach blockages, a medical study has revealed, with doctors recommending the drink as an alternative to surgery.
No kidding.
Doctors now commonly use the soft drink to treat patients with a nasty condition called gastric phytobezoar with a success rate of more than 90 per cent, the study said.
So, suffering from lower intestinal disorder? Grab a coke and a smile.
