Last Sunday, Mac and Caroline were invited to a birthday party. It was the usual; total fun and games, and at the end of the party all the kids got to make their own ice cream sundaes. I’m totally serious when I say that each child at that party was in their element making their sundaes. And all I could think of as I was watching Mac and Caroline make theirs was “wait until Cinderella gets a glimpse of those clothes…”
So, on our way home from the party, I feared my beloved car was going to turn into a pumpkin. I had a huge challenge on my hands in getting a bastion of chocolate stains out of Caroline’s dress and Mac’s T-shirt.
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
Whenever I’m faced with challenging stains on clothes, I always turn to either my Mama, or my friend Brad. Mama served on the alter guild at church for years, and can get out a stain like nobody’s business. On the other hand, Brad can give Heloise a run for her money. Between the two of them, I’m covered.
Since they don’t serve chocolate during Communion, I reached out to Brad and asked him what his secret is in getting out chocolate stains. Here it is:
Rinse the garment in cold water. Rub the stain with dish washing liquid. (I am a loyal fan of Dawn). Work the dish washing liquid into stains. Then, soak the garment in cold water for 15 minutes or longer. Wring it out, then treat with stain removal spray. (I’m partial to Clorox Stain Removal for Colors). Launder in cold water.
I followed those directions, and I got success. I guess you can call that the glass slipper.
