Do you go through egg spurts?
I mean, do you go through phases where you cook with eggs or scramble them up on a regular basis, and then there are times the eggs in your fridge are just there to have on hand?
Happens here all the time. Depends on what’s on the menu, and what I feel like cooking or baking, but I do often wonder if the eggs in my fridge are still fresh(ish).
What exactly is an incredible, edible egg?
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
My friend Lisa shared this tip the other day, and I found it a valuable one.
Take an egg and see how it sits in a bowl of water. Follow this guide and you’ll know if you have a good egg, or a bad egg.
An incredible, edible rule of thumb.
Enjoy today’s Quick Tip Friday!

Great tip and graphic. I can’t tell you how many times we have gone through "egg-spurts" in this house and I am left staring in to the fridge wondering if our eggs are good or need to be tossed.
Thanks for the Friday tip! Shared 🙂

I’m running to the kitchen right now! I’m pretty sure that my eggs are fresh (I could always be wrong…) but the experiment looks fun! This was such a great tip!

This is really cool! I’ll definitely be trying this out, you’re right, most of the time I have no idea if they’re still good or not. Thanks for this tip!

Yep, we go have egg phase too, but I never think of checking how old they actually are. If they don’t smell when I crack them, they’re good to go, lol. Thanks for linking up with Thursday Favorite Things!
