This month went waaaaay too fast. I dare say that I was looking forward to summer so much more this year than in year’s past, and it’s flying by.
My two main DIY project goals for the summer have been completed, and I feel so accomplished. You can read about those projects here, here, and here.
But now, I’m ready for a slow down. Some mandatory R&R. August will bring slower steps; thoughtful moments; a stolen hour here or there. Not only are we visiting our place of solace, but the projects I have planned to work on are less labor intensive and really fun. I’ve been working on some delicious recipes that need just a little more tweaking, and I’ll share those as well.
Also, I’m bursting at the seams to tell ya’ll about an opportunity that I have developing, and I will tell you every last detail as soon as all details are finalized. So exciting!
And in other random Keeping Fed news…
My good friend, Kathy Ng, writes an awesome blog on Hudson Valley Living. It’s all about things to do in the valley, places to eat, and kids activities. Looking for a house? You can find it on Kathy’s blog as well! Check out goodhomeshudsonvalley.com.
I came across this idea on Pinterest. Might have to try it, being that I do love to reinvent the s’mores wheel!
As you all know, I love anything monogrammed. Sean always jokes that if something sits long enough in our house, I’ll monogram it. True, so true. You bet I’ll put this project to the test!!
Want to try the most delicious grilled corn recipe? This one will knock your socks off!
This moment I captured made me stop and ponder:
And one more for the road – why didn’t I think of this?! Awesome cleaning tip!
Enjoy the last few days of July. Cheers to ringing in August!
Thanks for Keeping Fed!
Thank you for sharing your projects. I need to acquire some old shutters, paint them and get them up. I have been thinking way to many years about this!
I can’t believe it’s almost August. Sounds like you’ve been very busy. Hope your August is relaxing.
The summer is going by fast but you have been able to get a lot done so far this summer. What great DIY projects.
This looks like heaven from your pictures! So relaxing!
Siamo già ad agosto, speriamo che passi meno velocemente e che faccia meno caldo
Wow, the corn looks amazing, I will have to try it!
These pictures are so beautiful! They’re like the quintessence of summer. I’d love to be wherever you took these! Saving your s’mores recipe – NEED to make those. And the grilled corn looks fantastic. It looks like it has one of my favorite ingredients…butter… 🙂
Phenomenal! That corn looks to die for!
You’ve been so busy Brooke! I love the pictures by the lake, it looks so relaxing. I can’t wait to find out what you’re up to. I know it’s going to be amazing. Hugs, Coco
So simple! I will definitely try it!
