Out Fox The Fox – Quick Tip Friday

This summer, we have had so much wildlife set up camp around our house, that one would think we had a zoo.  Heck, friends have even joked that we have become the audubon society.

We’re happy to oblige and are glad that the wildlife finds comfort around our parts.  But when a very bold fox set up shop in our barn and also used it as his outhouse, we were none too pleased.

Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.

Fox to tend to be invading.  They seem to be the Little Red Riding Hoods of the forest; finding a spot that isn’t theirs, that seems to fit just right.

Turns out, fox don’t care much for cat urine.  And, as it turns out, you can buy the stuff online and at garden centers.

But we didn’t use that.

We doused an old rag with ammonia and stuck it near the fox’s hole that he dug in the barn.  Within two days, he had moved out.

Another tip to get rid of an unwanted fox is to use loud noises like beating on a metal pan or blasting Quiet Riot near their den.

By doing these two tips, you too can out fox a fox.
