There are many a time that I find myself sitting at a beautifully set table, at a very well-attended event, where I ask myself “Is this my bread? Is this my drink?”
Who knows at those events. You’re trying to keep up with the Joneses – you don’t dare act like you’re not sure of something, and then the time comes to sit down, and you’re struggling to find out which bread to take a bit out of, and which glass you guzzle some water from.
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
Wanna be like me? Then do this discreet little reminder on your lap:
Make your hands into a “b” and a “d.” Your left hand is the “b” and your right is the “d.” That tells you which side of your place setting is your bread and which side is your drink.
Then by following this little reminder, you always know. And believe me, without fail, I’m doing this little play with my hands every single time I sit down at the table.
Whenever I look at a place setting, I never remember which is what, but I sure am happy that I can rely on the good ole handed “b” and “d!”
Enjoy today’s Quick Tip Friday!

Thanks for the tip Brooke! Not only helps for those of us sitting down to dine, but also for this those who are setting the table.
