I often shake my head with bewilderment when it comes to packaging. Things that are delicate, like light bulbs, are packaged in flimsy cardboard, yet other nonbreakable things are packaged in those blister packs that are so laborious to open.
I wrestle the packaging with scissors. I try to tear open with my hands. I’ve even been known to grab some vice grips and use those. Regardless, 9 times out of 10, I end up cutting myself and doing more harm to me rather than opening up the package.
Are you in the same boat as me?

The answer is in the can opener. I don’t know why I didn’t try this method out earlier, as I tried out several other ways, but once I did, my blister pack opening dilemma was solved.
Take the can opener, and crank it as you would to open a jar, but follow the edge of the blister pack. Go all the way around, and then the top just pulls right up.
No more wrestling the packaging and cutting your hands. The can opener is the safe and easy way to open blister packs.
You’re welcome.

Oh my! You have just changed my life. I’ve been known to say "you need an engineering degree to figure out how to unbox things nowadays." Does this dull the can opener blade? Do you have one can opener dedicated to blister packs and another for cans?

I’ve seen this before. Of course for some reason, I still always struggle with the scissors. Someday I will try this!
