Last week was a monumental week for me and my beloved blog. I shared with you how I was heading down to Atlanta to attend the bloggers conference, Haven, and I was full of anticipation and reverie. What I got out of the weekend was more than I can even put into words.
Leaving Sean home because of work (the show must go on), I packed up the car, loaded up the kids and set out for the long drive south. In that 14 1/2 hour car ride, so many thoughts crossed through my mind, knowing I have so much to learn; so much to keep up with; welcoming changes.
With the kids in good hands at my sister’s, I made my way to the conference, my battery fully loaded. As I opened the door to registration, I felt promise. Promise that I’ll take all the information learned, and apply that and then some to Be Fed Again.
Surrounded by fellow bloggers, matriarchs, and vendors galore, the conference was a huge learning experience. Each and every class, from building a network, to harnessing the power of social media, to working with brands, I was feverishly taking notes. I learned about photo styling for blogs, and all about affiliate marketing programs. Pivotal classes to help my blog grow and become better. Content over views.
Value. Huge value. Through the weekend I met peers I hope will be in my life forever. Promising sponsors that believe in me. The classes taught me profitable information that put my brain on brain overload, yet I feel rejuvenated. An oxymoron that rings so true. And, I met a dear friend, whom is a blessing.
Haven was worth the weight in gold. A conference that put an enthusiastic blog into fine perspective. New promise. Great inspiration.
Rejuvenated.
Grateful.

I’m glad you enjoyed the conference. Those sort of events can really change your outlook and can only improve BeFedAgain. From a personal standpoint it was wonderful to be with my grandchildren for a week. I think we had a good time. They said they did and certainly seemed to enjoy themselves. Of course Hilary and Chris having a pool seemed to be a real pleaser. Rock on with yourself Brooke. I know BeFedAgain will only improve.

I love going to a conference and learning practical things, things I can put into use the second I leave the conference. Fourteen hours is a long time to be in the car with your kids, glad you survived I’m not sure I would have.

I am longing to go to a conference in person though at this point, I’m thinking it will have to wait until next year! I have attended a few virtual ones though and those were still valuable learning experiences.
