October 2020

  • Our refrigerator is the one place where I always struggled to keep organized. It’s always a mess, we can never find what we’re looking for, and if there isn’t a space, then one’s created somehow.

    Is Your Fridge Like This?

Maybe it’s because we have waaaaaay too many condiments?

Maybe it’s because there’s four of us in and out of it all day long?

Or maybe it’s because I might be the only one that cares what the inside looks like?

Whatever the case, it’s always been a constant struggle for me.

Want to know the best refrigerator organizing tips ever?! I’ve got the answer!!

  • I don’t know what it is about me and floors this year, but I’ve worked one a lot of them. There was the mud room floor where I had a battle with marine varnish. (this story does have a happy ending, I promise).

There was the time where I refinished both of our front porch’s floors, which, by the way, our Fed Ex guy paid me a nice compliment this week.

So as if those floors weren’t enough to max out my floor psyche, I took on the floor in the garden house.

Wait until you see how amazing the floor turned out!!

  • There is no doubt that this year has been wicked whacky. I’m not even going to dive into those depths, but when Caroline came to me and asked if we could do something special this Halloween for the sweet kiddos she babysits, I of course said yes.

In years past, we’ve always hosted a Fedigan Freight Fest the Friday right before Halloween. It was a neighborhood affair, and friends of Mac and Caroline would attend, and my garden would turn into a haunted maize. This year, the little trick-or-treaters of our neighborhood are walking the cautious route. No surprise that Caroline would want to create a fun social distant Halloween for those that she babysits.

Come see how to create your own ghoulish Social Distance Halloween Costume!!

2020 is the year for this!!

  • You know how I have mentioned about a thousand times that my dreams are coming true with this garden house? This is so true, but I have a little confession to make.

It’s a little embarrassing, but since we’re friends, you and me, I feel like I can tell you everything.

The garden house build has started to filter into my dreams. Like, my real-I’m asleep-dreams. But wait, the story gets even better.

As we all know, some dreams are so far-fetched and just out there weird, and other ones are kinda-halfway-real. I don’t even know how to categorize these two. I guess a combo of both.

Let’s watch Episode 8 of Brooke’s Garden House!
