November 2020

  • My sweet friends, you know me well enough to know that I absolutely love to decorate a table. And why not, really. It’s where families congregate. Conversations to be had, stories to be told, love to be shared. Think of the table as a third party, joining the convo by serving up the food, surrounded by total prettiness.

Since I switch out table decor almost weekly (even when not during the holidays), I got to thinking – How about I create an evergreen wreath, and then use it as a placemat? Makes sense. Perfect size for a plate to nestle into. Would bring that gorgeous greenery to the table, leaving room for a simply illuminated centerpiece. And too, you absolutely know that I love dual purpose. Let’s get the bang for the buck, and all.

  • I love to shop. I mean, I love, love to shop. Whether I’m just browsing, killing time, or on a mission, I am zeroed in and thoroughly enjoying myself. From thrift stores and salvage shops, to departments stores, shopping local and a whole lotta shopping online, I’m in! I’m a shopper. And what I love even more is to shop for gifts.

But I do have a confession to make.

It may surprise you based on all my shop-talk.

    Ready for it?

I don’t like to shop in person, on Black Friday.

Never have. I’m not sure if it’s the crowds or the fighting over deals that just turns me off?  And with 2020 bringing a uniqueness to shopping in person, I’m with the keep-it-safe crowd, staying home and shopping online. So I decided to comprise a list of things that are my favorites, my go-to items that I use and enjoy daily. Brooke’s best buys that will make great gifts.

    Come and shop Brooke’s Boutique!

Here are a few of my favorite things, all compiled together. All you have to do is click on the item and it’ll take you straight to where you can purchase it. Check it out.

  • I often get asked what my favorite and go-to kitchen utensils, tools and gadgets are; the ones I recommend. For someone who has a well stocked kitchen, and utilizes every last knife, spoon, pot and pan, and thing-a-ma-jig, I have compiled my 15 top recommended kitchen utensils, tools and gadgets that makes for a well organized and well stocked kitchen. Having these items on hand will not only help you cook and bake masterpieces during the holidays, but all year around. These are the fundamentals that work well for you, in your kitchen. Think of these items as your assistants. And, if taken care of properly, they won’t only be your most wise investments, they’ll last you a lifetime.
