Blueberry Sauce
Ingredients
- 3 cups fresh blueberries
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch
- pinch of salt
Instructions
- In a heavy bottomed saucepan, pour all the ingredients. Stir to completely combine ingredients. Let the blueberries macerate. Once they start to give off their juices, put saucepan over medium heat. Gently stir and simmer until the sauce is thick enough to coat the back of a spoon, 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature. Place a fine mesh strainer over a bowl. Pour blueberry mixture into stranger. Press on solids until all of the juice has been pressed through. Discard solids. Place sauce in a glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to one week.
