Every year as St. Patrick’s Day approaches, I find myself standing in front of my closet looking for something green to wear. Oddly, I don’t have much. I guess as far as my wardrobe goes, it ain’t easy being green.
Though I may not be all decked out in green for St. Patrick’s Day, I do love to cook for it and celebrate Irish cooking. Last year, I went all out and made these Corned Beef Hotdogs. This recipe does take some planning, but these hot dogs sure are delicious and would also be a tasty delight for a summer holiday as well. Toss them on the grill, put them on a bun with some beer mustard. Mmmm Mmmmm Good.
I often make my Shepherds Pie several times during the year, including St. Patrick’s Day. This recipe is an easy one and total comfort food. Pair it up with a Black-n-Tan and the next thing you know, you’ll be clogging to the bagpipes.
And if an elaborate Irish meal isn’t in your forecast, but you want to take part in the corned beef and cabbage tradition, then look no further than my Corned Beef Sliders. In lieu of sauerkraut, my ever-popular coleslaw tops off the corned beef and makes for the perfect Irish slider.
Speaking of sliders, these Lamb Sliders will land you in that pot of gold. A bahh-mazing take on a traditional slider. Ok, so that pun was a little lame, but there isn’t anything lame about these sliders.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone. Keep calm and Irish on!

These look so delicious! Much more appetizing than dyeing everything green in my opinion!
