Easy Tips To Keep Under The Kitchen Sink Organized

The space under the kitchen sink can get messy and chaotic. Here’s all of my easy tips to keep under the kitchen sink organized.

During such uncertain times, there is one thing I can guarantee will bring certainty and clarity to your life, and that is organization. Whether you organize your closets, your desk, or even your thoughts, there comes with this satisfaction. Organizing is my calming salve (oddly enough) and when I went to grab a cleaning product under the kitchen sink and stuck my hand in a gooey-something-or-other, well it just grossed me out. So, to clean off my hands and give me piece of mind, I decided to organize under said kitchen sink.

Without wasting a minute, I pulled everything out and decided to paint, and add a covering to the bottom of the cabinet. To start, a quick coat of white paint and some extra self stick floor tiles helped clean up the space. From there, I decided that to really keep things neat and tidy, I needed to add some lighting. Nothing fancy, but a light that would work on a sensor; when the doors would open, the light would go on. I found exactly what I wanted here. Because really, it gets dark under cabinets. This light also works well in closets and other small, dark spaces. I call this a Brooke’s Best Bet.

I looked no further than to my favorite household items to help me get organized under the sink. Plate shelving, stackable open boxes and a trusted lazy Susan are organizing work horses that simply make things easier.
