Maple Bread Pudding

  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 quart whipping cream
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ¼ cup maple sugar
  • 1 cup maple Syrup
  • 1 Tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1-pound loaf brioche bread, torn into bite-size pieces
Instructions
  1. Whisk eggs, cream, sugars, syrup and vanilla in a large bowl to blend. Add brioche and stir to coat. Let stand at room temperature for one hour, stirring once or twice.
  2. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter 13/9/2 inch baking dish. Transfer bread mixture to prepared dish. Bake until puffed and golden and toothpick inserted into center comes out clean, about 40 minutes. Cool slightly.
