If you are like me, and much prefer to eat in rather than dine out on Valentine’s Day, then I have the perfect dinner for you. I have written about this easy yet elegant dish a few times before, whether I made it for Valentine’s Day in years past, and even when I competed for Master Chef Home Cooks, this dish is in my repertoire rotation when we entertain here at Farmhouse 1820.
With the help of some store-bought puff pastry, the piped smoked salmon mousse (which cannot be easier to make) is the star of this dinner show, packing in tons of flavor, and offering a meriad to textures in your mouth.
A dish that can be prepared ahead of time, it can be assembled just before serving allowing you to visit with your guests up until the last minute before plating. And, let’s face it, to be able to prepare such an elegant meal before hand keeps this Valentine’s Day dinner looking fabulous and tasting extravagant. And, not only is this a delicious lunch or dinner meal, but the napoleons can be cut smaller and this dish can easily turn into two-bite appetizers. Now, who wouldn’t want that!
