So, I have this huge thing against slimy textures. I don’t like to touch anything slimy, nor eat anything with a slimy-like texture. Safe to say that I’m not a sushi fan, and I absolutely have an aversion to separating an egg.
Since I make a lot of homemade ice-cream, I have to separate at least 5 eggs each time for the custard.
I’m grossed out each time.
Having said this, I’m always looking for ways to separate an egg with the least amount of handwork as possible and last night while watching “Martha Bakes” she did this genius technique of separating an egg without even having to touch it. Her trick was using a plastic water bottle.
