October was busy around here. No different than any other month, and certainly our hecticness is in good company with others.
I get asked regularly if I ever slow or sit down. And the answer is, yes, I do. But not ever for very long. When I am still, taking a breather with a soft playlist playing in the background, my mind still percolates. My quiet time brings me thoughts of future projects, recipes to master, setting a beautiful table and holiday entertaining. These thoughts fill my mind, and turn to daydreams that feed my soul. I feel myself smiling, then I stand up and get moving. These stolen, quiet moments are what keeps me fed.
And speaking of Keeping Fed…
I am so excited to tell you all that I have partnered up with J. McLaughlin whom has been my very favorite clothing retailer, since pretty much forever. It is an honor for me to wear J. McLaughlin in all episodes of Brooke’s House & Home. J. McLaughlin’s designs are classic and timeless. Every item of clothing they design is exceptional and design pieces that will stay in your wardrobe for years. Check them out, you’ll be hooked. Click here.
Have I got a delicious frittata recipe to share with you. It’s delicious and easy to make, and the best thing about frittatas is that they are great for breakfast, lunch and / or dinner. And did I mention you can make them ahead of time and freeze them?! Well, you can. Check out my delicious Chorizo & Garlic Cheese Frittata here.
I am a faithful TODAY show addict. I have watched the daily morning news program since birth. I’ve watch many an anchor and correspondent come and go, and when I saw that one of my favorite correspondents was retiring, I was saddened. Bob Dotson is a beautiful story teller and he brought such touching stories into our homes. So I am happy to report that he’s written a book, full of his beautiful words and stories. You can get his book here.
And speaking of beautiful writers, this blogger’s words capture me and each post keeps me wanting to read more. I have featured here before on Keeping Fed, and I feel she needs another honorable mention. Assortment Blog.

Sean and I cozied up around the fire pit last evening, and savored sips of this drink.
