All this talk about chickens and roosters and pardoning has gotten a little deep. Thank you so much for all of your comments and insights. As of yet, still no crowing, but until then I’m going to head from the land to the sea. At first, I thought it would be kinda funny to share a chicken recipe, but kidding aside, what is more perfect for dining alfresco than a delicious shrimp cocktail.
Although shrimp is delicious no matter how you serve it or what recipe it’s the star of the show in, at times it can taste a little bland. Not sure why that is, but to amp things up and to give bold flavor to the shrimp, I turn to the grill.
A quick grill on both sides, you have a mega-hit of an appetizer in less than five minutes. The homemade cocktail sauce is just as easy, and will make you throw that jarred stuff from the grocery store away. In fact, never buy that stuff again, just follow my recipe!!
This Grilled Shrimp Cocktail can be served as an appetizer, or as a meal; it just depends on the size and quantity of shrimp you buy. My rule of thumb is to always buy shrimp from the Gulf of Mexico, and/or within the United States region. They have the best flavor.
Bon Appetit.
