Shrimp Cocktail
Author:
Ingredients
  • 1 pound (large size) shrimp
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1 Tablespoon horse radish
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
Instructions
  1. FOR THE COCKTAIL SAUCE:
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine ketchup, horse radish, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper.  Stir well to combine.  Place in serving bowl and set aside.
  3. FOR THE SHRIMP:
  4. Peel and devein shrimp.  Bring a large sauce pot of water to a boil.  Add shrimp and cook on medium for 2 minutes.  Drain shrimp and rinse under cold water until cool to the touch.
  5. To serve, place shrimp on a large plate with cocktail sauce.  Or, you can also serve shrimp cocktail as pictured above, in iced shot glasses.  Place a spoonful of cocktail sauce in the bottom of the iced glass and line the top of the ice with shrimp.  Enjoy immediately.
