- 2 dozen clams
- 2 Tablespoons four
- 1 bottle stout beer
- Place clams in a bowl and cover with water. Add flour and stir to distribute. Let soak for at least 5 minutes for the clams to release the accumulated sand in their shells.
- Rinse clams until water comes out clean.
- In a large sauce pan, place steamer basket on the bottom, and add stout. Bring to boil. Carefully add clams and cover and cook for 5 minutes.
- Serve with melted butter for dipping.
