Tuna Tartare
Ingredients
- 1/2 pound fresh Ahi tuna steak
- 2 Tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon grated lime zest
- 1 Tablespoon lime juice
- 1/4 teaspoon wasabi powder
- 1 teaspoon soy sauce
- 2 Tablespoon scallions chopped finely
- 6 dashes hot sauce
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/2 of a ripen avocado
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds
- chives for garnish
Instructions
- Cut the tuna into 1/4 inch dice and place in a nonreactive bowl.
- Cut the avocado into 1/4 dice and add to tuna, along with the rest of the ingredients.
- Carefully stir to combine.
- Allow mixture to sit in the refrigerator for at least an hour for the flavors to blend.
- Top with chives
- Serve on crackers or chips.
