We have some quirky door knobs in this old house. Some of them dangle. Some of them simply do not turn. Some of them get stuck.
Our coat closet door knob has a random habit of locking (or something) even though there is no lock. Trust me, I can’t even go there. I don’t want to put too much thought into that – the reasons could be endless being in an old house. But during the summer, the door needs to stay open a crack for air circulation.
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
My solution: Attach a rubber band around both sides of the door knob so the latch stays in.
Works like a charm.
