Quick Tip

  • One of my biggest pet peeves is a stuffy, sleep smell. Sounds weird, I guess, to be a peeve, but it is. It’s hard to describe what I mean about “sleep smell,” but hopefully you catch my drift. Just smells heavy and unclean to me, and it drives me cray cray when I open the linen closet to grab a towel, and the towel has an ever-so-slightly hint of teenage boy smell. Or any closet for that matter. My reasoning is perhaps that our closets are old, and yeah, closed in. I swear all of the towels in there are clean. And, Lord knows I’m cranking out the laundry on a daily basis.

Today’s Quick Tip is all about how to keep your closets smelling fresh! And let’s face it, we all need this quick tip!

  • Our refrigerator is the one place where I always struggled to keep organized. It’s always a mess, we can never find what we’re looking for, and if there isn’t a space, then one’s created somehow.

    Is Your Fridge Like This?

Maybe it’s because we have waaaaaay too many condiments?

Maybe it’s because there’s four of us in and out of it all day long?

Or maybe it’s because I might be the only one that cares what the inside looks like?

Whatever the case, it’s always been a constant struggle for me.

Want to know the best refrigerator organizing tips ever?! I’ve got the answer!!

  • How many times have you burned your hands on the lid of a hot pan?! Without even thinking, you go in to pick up the lid to take a quick taste and you end up burning your hand, the lid goes flying and who knows where the spoon lands.

When I am cooking, I quite often have a bar mop towel hanging out of one of my pockets. I’m constantly wiping my hands on it, or wiping surfaces; whatever, I just like to have it at the ready. But on those rare occasions that I don’t, I need the hot handle fix.

Blistered hands no more, my friends.  I’ve got the perfect solution for you.
