I love glitter. In fact, I can justify glittering just about anything.
Just about.
I pulled these reindeer out of a Christmas bin this year, and I put them on the sideboard and moved on. Every time I walked by them, they would catch my eye and I found myself thinking that they looked so tired. Like they had zero desire to be displayed this year.
They needed a rehab. They needed glitter.
I got out some gold glitter, some Elmer’s glue, a paint brush, and some newspaper to catch the extra glitter and got to work. Working in stages, I brushed on some glue, sprinkled some glitter. Glue. Glitter. Glue. Glitter. Once they were dry, I sprayed them with clear acrylic paint. Worked like a charm.
They were transformed, and they have a nice gold bling about them. And I am STILL wiping up and vacuuming extra gold glitter.
Do you have any tired looking decorations that could use a glitter rehab?
