For months, not only have I been talking about needing an office / studio space, but I have been refinishing and painting, and then saving furniture, only to let it sit in the attic. Sandwiched in between all the Christmas stuff, my desk wasn’t doing me too much good up there.
I called a couple friends, looked around the area for a place that I could hang my office hat, but landed unsuccessfully.
But just the other day, I asked Mac to please put something away in the living room. He looked at me so puzzled and asked “what room is that??”
I must have looked at him like he had 3 heads, and all that came out of my mouth was “What do you mean?”
He came right back and said “Oh, you mean the Christmas tree room?”
And there was my answer. Mac was right. We really do only use the living room at Christmas time and the very occasional aperitif. When we do entertain everyone ends up in the kitchen, naturally, and in the dining room. The living room is 3 rooms away from the kitchen, so it’s never used when friends come over.
Turns out, my studio was right under my feet.
I wasted no time in changing the living room to the new home of Be Fed Again. Working in stages, I have painted the walls and set up my design area.
Sean built me this design table 11 years ago, and it has always lived in dark rooms – the basement in our old house, the attic in this house. Until now. This bright corner is flooded with light. Set between two windows, I’m going to get all the inspiration I need to dream up all kinds of divine designs.
Welcome to your new home, my well-traveled design table.
I love your workspace. I’m jealous. I’m currently working on my bed — not good! Thanks again for stopping by my blog. I’m glad I found yours! I’ve followed your social sites and hope we can connect on those. Excited to read more from you! Becky from CookingWithVinyl.com
Thanks so much Becky, I was in the Attic and it was very dark and gloomy… I also connected with you on social, looking forward to seeing what you have coming up next.

Brooke this table is awesome! I can’t believe your design space was right underneath you all along. I love how much light it has and the lights that you hung up too. Of course, your signature logo is a must have 🙂 I love the way it all came together.
