Yesterday I had a slew of errands to run, and the more I hurried, I kept getting behind.
You know what I mean?
I raced in and out of one place; got behind a slow driver; didn’t make the green light; saw someone I knew and had to visit. Thing is, had I taken the time to slow down and take it easy, all would have gone smoothly and I most likely would have made that green light.
By the time I got to Target I was a little frazzled, but once I walked in that door, I completely forgot about my list. I completely bypassed the Oil of Olay and the Tide and found myself in the candy section. A little inspiration popped into my head and my new mission was to design a fun centerpiece for the kids’ table for the Fourth.
A little Patriotic candy bar.
It started when I saw those red, white and blue twizzlers. Then I found those blue gum balls, and then all of the sudden I was chillaxed and entertaining candy options.
Every holiday I spend so much time on menus and table settings that I kind of sluff off when I get to the kids’ table. And now for this holiday, the kids have a pretty table to sit at, and candy bar to nosh on. Yay for sugar rush.
Needless to say, I have to go back to Target today for moisturizer and detergent…
