As much as we love our pets, and as cute as we know they are, there is no total flea block on the market.
There are a lot of great flea preventative treatments out there for sure, and we do use those religiously on our sweet Hudson, but it’s not like we can squirt that expensive stuff all over our carpets to prevent fleas from setting up camp in and around the floors.
Enter today’s Quick Tip Friday.
Fleas are inevitable. They are everywhere and even though we take the best care of our pets, using flea preventative shampoos and gels, those pesky fleas still outnumber us.
I came across this solution and it is the best idea since sliced bread!
Put a flea collar inside your vacuum bag each time you change it. And, even better, you don’t have to put the entire collar in the vacuum bag. Cut the collar in half, and the next time you change out your vacuum bag, put the reserved half of the flea collar in the new bag.
Whatever we can do to beat fleas at their own game!! A nice insurance policy for your rugs and carpets.
Enjoy today’s Quick Tip Friday!
What a fantastic idea. I never would have thought of that!
This seems like a great idea. We have a shark vacuum so it’s a canister, do you think it would work to put it in the canister and just change it out as directed on the collar. I think they are monthly? Thanks for the idea.
That’s a great idea! I’m really lucky that I live in the California desert where it is so dry that we don’t have a flea problem at all. I will suggest to some of my family that live near the coast where I know they have more fleas.
What a great idea! I am doing this – thank you for sharing !!
