There are a couple rooms in our 1820 that require a lot of attention. You know the kind – the ones that get you to the point where you’re begging for mercy. The domino effect, when one thing goes cray cray, then that taps in to the next thing needing fixing/adjusting/redoing. Folks, in this case, I’m talking about our den.
Going on almost two years ago, I wrote about how our pipes froze and burst in our den. And then, our dry wall needed patching in one area. Long story short, we gutted down to the studs and started over. We added the best insulation around, hung a layer of Prodex for added comfort and then the den sat like that for a few months. When it started to get cold again, we installed radiant heat flooring (which in my book, is a game changer!!). We brought the TV back in and a couple camp chairs and started on cutting and hanging our own DIY shiplap. We had scaffolding in the den for what seemed like forever, and I tried to make the most of that by throwing some pillows up there to maybe try and tie the scaffolding in to the room. Whatevs.
Fast forward to this summer and I made my way down to the Haven DIY Bloggers Conference. Making my rounds and meeting several venders, there was one booth that completely stopped me in my tracks. It was the Stile booth. And it was this ceiling fan that had me at Hello.
I mean, come on! It’s beautiful. Sleek. It looks nothing like a ceiling fan. Perfect for our den! Needless to say, I stalked the booth the entire weekend, doing drive by’s just so I could look at the fan. I had to have it! And one day, a few weeks ago, it showed up on my doorstep, and this gave me the wherewithal to finish that den and never again question to den or not to den.
We’re denning.
And we’re all about the den now, thanks to this fan. Let me tell you why I love this Stile fan and why it would be the best, most economical addition to your home!
For starters, it doesn’t look like a ceiling fan, and I love that! The perfect modern mix to our 1820, bringing in a new element to our old house. As you know, this is my mojo. It’s powerful. Like, really powerful, yet reeaaalllly quiet. Amen to that. The fan is surrounded by a light, so no dangling lamp globe; so sleek!! And another stellar quality – it comes with a remote so you can dim both the lights and the fan without getting out of your seat. No climbing a latter and pulling on a chain. This Stile fan is waaaayyy too good for that.
I know you think it’s silly that I’m writing about a ceiling fan on the cusp of freezing temps, but you forget how important a ceiling fan is during the cold months. As heat rises, it needs to be pushed back down to our comfort zone, especially for rooms with higher ceilings to run more efficiently for you. That’s why this fan has a reverse setting, to push air back down. Who needs to pay for a lot of heat above 7 feet? Push it back down to where you can relish in the warmth. I mean, seriously.
Bottom line, it’s pretty. And, it wears a lot of design hats, including the farmhouse design. This Stile ceiling fan would also look amazing in the kitchen, over an island or prep table. Circulate the air so the smells of last night’s dinner don’t linger for a week.
The Stile fan is reasonably priced and totally budget friendly. I only write about products I truly believe in, and this Stile fan is at the top of my list. I can only hope I have influenced you to buy one (or two) for your own home! I’ve done the research for you, now it’s your turn to enjoy it! You can buy your Stile Ceiling Fan here!!
