Have you ever cried and laughed at the same time? Like, crying tears of joy, and laughing because you’re so happy? Or, maybe you’re laughing because you’re trying to cover up the fact that you’re crying? Whatever the reason, it doesn’t make a lot of sense, but please tell me this has happened to you.

Well, I’ve done a whole lotta that this week, working on the garden house. Stuff is getting done, and the Brooke is like, Heck Yeah!!! It’s surreal, really. On one hand I can’t believe something I have thought about and dreamed about for so many years, is finally being built. And then, my eyes are watering to the point where I was worried my contacts would float out, because, well, I’m so dang happy.

Want a good laugh and some great DIY tips? Come on in and watch Episode 4 of Brooke’s Garden House!

    Brooke’s Garden House, Episode 2

We’ve been making progress on the garden house, and little by little; rock by rock, the process is beginning. It’s like Mr. Magoo driving when his eyes are closed – ours too! Let’s just run through some red lights. Who cares anyway – just as long as we’re not hitting anybody, we’re cool. We have the garden house dimensions measured and marked, and the areas marked where the support beams need to be placed. Episode 2 us underway, and the commentary is laughable. Come and see for yourself!

Garden House Progress – Episode 1

You know what always ceases to amaze me? Is that when a man (my husband, in particular) can pick up even the slightest subtle call or hand gesture in baseball, or any sport for that matter, yet is completely oblivious to subtle and even not so subtle hints at home. Like, say I leave a couple huge windows leaning in front of the garage, waiting to be moved up to the garden house area in preparation for building.

    Nah. Doesn’t even see them.

    Doesn’t even pay attention.

After all, there is no glove nor mitt, no club, no tee, no golf ball involved in building a garden house. Just a lot of hard labor and sweat.

Or maybe he does notice, or recognize, but is choosing to look the other way?

    Yeah, I bet that’s it.

Come with me and watch the first episode of Brooke’s Garden House!!
