The garden house Holiday Christmas Tour is here! Flocked trees hosting lots of silver and gold, nature with sparkle, come on in and see.
When I take a moment to think, I can’t believe that it’s been over a year since we built my beloved garden house. A haven that was eight years in the making, has become everything I dreamed it would be. Though a couple more projects are in the works, my garden house has become my refuge. My escape. Where I go for creative process. My mind has clarity there. So, although it took me a couple of weeks to fully decorate for Christmas, I enjoyed every single minute, every single second.
My friend Peter came over to help me, and together we created true silver and gold magic in my garden house. King of Christmas sent me the most gorgeous flocked trees, garland and wreathes that I could ever imagine, and it’s these flocked beauties that helped dictate this year’s theme.
For the hard working garden house, I wanted to blend nature with sparkle. Last year, I was all about the red, and this year I wanted this work horse of a garden house to speak for itself. Show off that it can be dressed up and bedazzled, and shine in its own element.
All the flocked beauties true holiday requirements for Christmas decorating.
Cute three foot trees to display on and near the bookcase, make for a cozy spot next to the sitting area.
A garland to dress up the bar cart in high fashion!
An LED lighted wreath to adorn the reindeer that watches over the garden house year around.
And of course these two flocked trees that I have had for a few years, look brand new each time I pull them out of storage.
I created a gorgeous hanging centerpiece, (that I call my masterpiece) on the center beam, and when the lights come one, it’s marvelous. Sticks and branches collected from around our yard and moss harvested from the roof of our garage, all make it spectacular. Looks like a million bucks, but the true meaning of design on a dime. Who knew that all these elements were right under our feet.
The pathway lined with luminaries makes one feel like royalty walking up to the garden house. The magic has stopped neighbors, guests, and garden club groups right in their tracks, to the point of breathtaking.
Won’t you join me for my Christmas tour of Garden House 1820 at dusk! It’s full of magic and sparkle and solace.
Come on in, and get lost in the magic!
