Spring is the season of new life and loads of inspiration. I have an inspiring spring tour of my garden house plus a video of you.
For as long as I hoped, planned and designed my garden house, now that it is built, I have made up for that ten fold as far as time well spent. I’m grateful for it and all that, of course, but it has truly become my go-to place to think about ideas and just do everything associated with the true premise of the garden house. Pot and plant, entertain, and yes, escape. My respite.
I decorated the garden house for Christmas back in the beginning of November, and then when the frigid weather hit, I didn’t unlock the door and enter until late February. And if I could be truly honest for a moment, I was lost. As quickly as I relied on my peaceful spot, it was either snowed in or downright too cold to enter. A garden house, not a green house, there is no added warmth in the space. At least not yet.
But when that singular warmer day hit toward the end of February, I was in there, taking down the holiday decor and gearing up for my “garden house season” faster than I could blink an eye. I was puttering around, adding things to the potting bench that I had found and saved. A bar cart here, new planting pots there. A warm throw to drape over the chair. I would put one thing in one place, step back, analyze and then scootch it over a smidge only because I could afford to be so particular. That’s my mojo, for Pete’s sake. I added a few of my favorite gardening books that I had collected and read over the winter.
Inspiration for days. And books I can thumb through over and over.
Everyone has their favorite season and mine is certainly a close call between spring and fall, with summer coming in at a tight second. There’s so much new life in the springtime; so much promise. I thrive on that, and certainly put a lot of stock into it. All the puttering around in the garden house has brought me such joy.
And with that, I would so love for you to join me on a spring tour of my garden house. I’ve designed a lot of creative ideas for you to implement in your home or potting bench. Come sit with me and enjoy the tour.

LOVE IT!!! So inviting in there, I would never leave. You and Sean have done such an amazing job on that project. So inspiring.
My Sweet, thank you. Come over and sit with me!
I love it, Brooke. I can imagine reading in that recliner…or having lunch… or dinner by candlelight…or just making new arrangements in all those glorious pots! Thanks for taking me with you. Such a joy!
Thank you so much, Leslie!
WOW WOW WOW, I am in love with this enchanting space. It reminds me of an English conservatory which I have always wanted. Have a very happy easter and thank you for sharing your delightful space.
Thank you so much, Elizabeth! This is definitely my favorite place!
Absolutely wonderful refuge. Will you give tours? Joanne
Hi Joanne, I do give tours!
This space is so pretty. The brick floor is a great touch. I’ve always loved those shaped patio chairs.
What an amazing space. I have a small she shed and now I want to add on. I love the brick. floors.
Thank you so much, Denise!
Absolutely beautiful.
What a lovely space you have created to just daydream in. I would love to spend a quiet afternoon puttering around. Congrats! It’s gorgeous.

Thank you so very much, Deana!
Such a great place to go and relax in. I bet all the stree of building it was well worth it.
Lordy, every time I see your garden house I fall in love all over again. I wonder if one of those big patio heaters would work inside when it’s so cold. I would have a hard time too if I couldn’t spend time there because the weather wasn’t playing along.
This place is a dream, you are so lucky to have it asa hanging place.
I think I would hang out there alot!
It’s such a fabulous space! If I had it, I would be lost without it too. I know you’ll find a way to make it more accessible year round 🙂
What a lovely space. There is such a cozy and warm feeling with each piece.
