I love New Year’s Eve. I do. But unlike many, I don’t like attending a huge party. I prefer the comforts of my home, celebrating with my family, and very dear friends. I always look forward to decorating for New Year’s Eve, and to bring on the sparkle!!
This year, in particular, I’m looking forward to the new year. Although I’m always grateful for what the year has brought me, the lessons I have learned, and the blessings I have been given, I feel deep down that 2014 will be a great year!
Being that we’re two days out, I decorated and set the table today, and designed the menu. Two of my favorite details!
Remember my post, Romancing a Dark Corner? I brought that arrangement in to the dining room. I used two beveled edge mirrors as runners, and embellished with votives and crystals. I kept the sparkle-y theme going with silver and white plates and bowls.
For whatever reason, I always go with a seafood theme for the menu. I wanted the menu to be as glamorous as the table, and I think I have designed a good one! See future post for pictures and recipes!
I hope everyone is looking forward to New Year’s Eve as much as I am. Please share what your plans are! I would love to hear!
