Easter is here and I have some pretty spring and Easter table setting ideas here for you. Beautiful designs to inspire you this season.
Give me an excuse, any excuse, to design a table setting and I’ll take it. I’m all in. I learned this from my sweet Mama. Days out of a holiday, she would set a gorgeous table, tweaking here and there along the way. I loved watching her and took in all of her advice and ideas just like a sponge. All of her joy in designing a pretty table setting rubbed off on me, and here I am, never letting a table lay empty. Always dressed with a modern mix of vintage and modern plates and linens , with lots of play on patterns. Sometimes the table is just on display; still, it’s decorated one way or another, with Mama deep in my heart.
Pretty Spring And Easter Table Setting Ideas
When a holiday rolls around, then it’s time to spiffy up my collar and add extra special touches. Like a placemat in the shape of a leaf, and a play on patterns that one wouldn’t necessarily think to pair together, but actually make a great match.
It’s no secret around here that I collect dishes, and even though I designed and built a Butler’s pantry to house the collection, the time has come that I need to tame my collection as room is limited. But it’s the thrill of the hunt at my favorite thrift stores, and it’s these stores where I find all the pretty table treasures. Affordability is a plus, too.
Entering spring and desperately trying to tune out lingering winter blues, all the pinks, greens and extra pastels are so welcomed. Pink water goblets found on sale, while the plates were thrifted from Goodwill. If you have the space, it’s a collection and hobby I truly recommend.
No need to limit yourself to just a holiday table setting. Mix and match and put patterns together just to see if they blend. Step back. Guaranteed you’ll like what you see, even if you just pulled the look out of your hat. That’s the beauty of setting a pretty table.
Laissez faire is the name of the game. Don’t ever overthink a table setting. Go with the flow and use what you have. That’s the fun of it. As far as tablescapes are concerned, one styled more simply can be just as elegant as one styled to the nines. A gorgeous statement is made regardless. Mix and match and blend all of the colors and textures.

The author’s description of their mother’s passion for designing a beautiful table setting brought tears to my eyes, as it reminded me of my own dear grandmother who had a similar talent. The idea of mixing and matching patterns and colors to create a unique and elegant table truly inspires me to unleash my creativity and try something new for my next gathering.
