There is nothing like a autumn in the north east. The colors are spectacular and the weather, for the most part, is beautiful.
And because Autumn is so gorgeous around these parts, I thought I would share the beauty in this month’s Keeping Fed.
Our backyard, perfect, tree.
Since the weather has been so beautiful this fall season, we have gone on a couple hikes, several bike rides, and some thoughtful long walks.
The Hudson River is breath-taking all year long, but from the vantage point from the Walkway Over the Hudson, is a terrific place to see the colors.
And it’s a special place. The Walkway is where you can be surrounded by people, and still get lost in your own thoughts. The views are majestic, and an extraordinary place to watch the seasons.
One of our hikes was at Kent Falls, which is just outside of Dutchess county. Great hiking spot, perfect for the whole family, and offered choice leaf-peeping also.
And in some random Keeping Fed:
I laughed hysterically along with these two.
I’m planning on mulling some of these for a Southern take on crostini. Stay tuned.
I went on my major monthly grocery run a couple days ago. It was a multiple-stop-kind-of-thing. We needed beer, and I always buy our beer from here. Keep in mind that this place is the leader in Beer of the Month club. Great holiday gift, for sure!! They have every beer you could ever want.
Enjoy autumn everyone, and thank you for Keeping Fed!
