Every year, I look forward to the Country Living Fair. I so enjoy visiting with all the vendors and of course shop, but I also love all the inspiration that I get when I walk around the fair. The wheels in my mind start turning and my creative thoughts go into full speed.
I found a few things that I would like to try to recreate here, and I thought I would share them with you, starting with this light fixture:
It’s an old repurposed olive bucket. Any dented galvanized bucket would do the trick and I think I even saw on an episode of Junk Gypsies that one of the girls shot a bucket with a shot gun to get a funky pattern. I won’t be going to that extreme, but I would like one of these hanging over my potting table in the barn.
And speaking of light fixtures, this one is cool too. Maybe a couple of these on our back porch?
I love letters and these had me at H E L L O.
Check out this steamer trunk!
Lined with copper. So. Cool. It’s so beautiful that I would never put anything in it, nor shut it. Such a great skill and repurposed to perfection.
And if only I had a green thumb for indoor plants. I am getting a little better, but a few of these perched around the house would be so great. Beautiful color to add to the decor. I’m thinking a couple of these would look great in our new dining room design when I get that project off and running.
As you all know, I love to paint the American flag. I’m going to recreate one of these using pallet wood. And if it’s easy enough, I might make more than one.
I’m already looking forward to next year’s Country Living Fair. But until then, I’ve got my hands full with these projects, recreating all the inspiration I gathered this year.
