**This post is sponsored by Aspect Tile. All opinions and giddy tile talk are all of my own.
Projects around the 1820 always take on a life of their own. I write about this often. So when it came time to install a backspash in our kitchen, I really needed a break. And I got one, thanks to Aspect Tile!
With those fierce concrete countertops curing as I type, I wanted to install the backsplash right away. No more waiting, for crying out loud. The break that I got was that I was able to install the tiles within hours. No need to worry about mortar and grout, because Aspect Tile is peel and stick! Seriously, a game changer!! I do love to work with tile on all accounts, but the fact that to apply, I only had to fit, peel and stick (with an occasional cut here and there), was so the break I needed.
These tiles are a dream to work with, and they’re designed for even the most novice of tile installers. To begin, I measured the height of one tile, and began from the top of that measurement by attaching a straight-line of removable molding. I used this as my starting point to keep the entire project level. A wet saw is required to make the cuts I needed for the glass tiles, but Aspect Tiles has several tiles that can be cut with a pair of snips. You can see it all here.
From there, I peeled and stuck the tile in place, using a classic brick pattern. Hands down the easiest tile project I’ve ever done. Even more, I’m installing a pot filler faucet over the stove, and I was able to measure and leave that space open for the time being, not needing to worry about mixing any materials, just come back in and peel and stick when I’m ready!!
I do get sent a lot of products to try and work with, offer my opinion and all that, and I have to say that Aspect Tile is now my favorite tile that I’ve ever worked with. It’s clean, no mess, soooooooo easy to apply; it’s a dream product. No need to jump through hoops just to get this project completed.
A drama-free project. I love that.
I’m thrilled with how backspash turned out. It’s beautiful and truly compliments the concrete countertops.
I’ll endorse Aspect Tile until the cows come home – and that’ll be forever simply because I don’t have any cows.
