Tis the season for entertaining. Whether you’re going to parties, or throwing one of your own, let the festivities begin. Let’s face it, every holiday party is centered around good food and cheer, and I’m sharing today a few recipes that can be whipped up easily and in minutes.
While keeping it simple is the name of the game, quick on time doesn’t need to diminish on class. Let the grocery store be your heavy lifter. With a combination semi homemade and a twitch of your nose, you can set up a spread to entertain your guests in no time. Here’s how:
It’s all about small bites, big impact. No one is going to chow on a burger at a cocktail party. That simply doesn’t go with anyone’s holiday outfit, but options that are one to two bites, absolutely. Up the ante to the platter using rosemary sprigs as skewers. With an herbed mozzarella ball and a grape tomato on each skewer, it’s as easy to eat as it is tasty. An appetizer with big impact that took minutes to put together.
Let’s go nuts! Rosemary almonds, to be exact. Simply infuse some olive oil with rosemary and pour a tablespoon or two over the almonds to amp up the flavor of an otherwise bland nut. Serve in silver bowls to let your guests know these aren’t just ordinary nuts. Click here for the Rosemary Almonds recipe.
Don’t be afraid to put out the chips. Beet chips certainly look fancy with their vivid red color. I always serve these and I constantly have to restock the bowl. Quick. Easy. Festive. Popular.
A delicious dip is a must, and this one can be whipped together with a press of a button. Ricotta and Herbed Goat Cheese Spread with Sun-Dried Tomato Salsa is a delightfully easy recipe to put together in an instant. I found this recipe years ago in an old cookbook and I have made a few improvements to call it my own. It’s as easy on the eyes as it is on taste, and tastes like it took hours to prepare. No one needs to be the wiser. Click here for the fabulous recipe.
Whether you’re inviting guests over for an impromptu affair, or hosting guests before you embark on a holiday party or two, here is some delicious inspiration to help you bring ease and high flavor to your holiday party.
Happy Holidays.
