Baby it’s cold outside.
And snowing.
A lot.
We are expected to get around 8 – 12 inches of snow in my neck of the woods by tomorrow morning.
Today, I am happy to see the white stuff. Christmastime always brings hustle and bustle; good busy festive energy. Snow, no matter when, always slows down the pace, and I needed to slow down and take it in. Take in everything, even the Christmas season itself. Although I am busy doing all sorts of things that make me very happy and put a smile on my face, I needed to take five. At least.
I went outside to take a picture or two, and it was quiet. All I could hear was the very light sound of the snow falling. And it was peaceful.
The snow outside, the glow of the fire in the fireplace, and the warmth of a good cup of hot chocolate do wonders for the soul. I am thoroughly absorbing what today has brought me. And I am thankful.
If it is snowing in your neck of the woods, stay warm. Stay safe.
Peace.
