Do any of you have a yard project or two that you have wanted to tackle? Each spring, you tell yourself “I’m going to get to that this year.” And then before you know it, it’s next spring and you’re saying the same thing.
We had a project like that. Key word: Had. In the front yard, we had a mess on our rock wall.
Yesterday, Sean broke out his gloves and power trimmer. Pumped up the tires on the tractor and buggy. Fiddled around with the cup holder on the tractor. Got the rake. Played with the dog. Took many selfies. And then got down to business.
And I mean business. What a task he had to tackle.
All of these weeds were covering up a rock wall. But these “weeds” were so out of hand that they had grown into prickly bushes. This whole area sort-of resembled Andy Rooney’s eyebrows. Completely out of control. (God rest his soul.)
Sean used the power trimmer to cut most of the bushes, then physically had to pull out the rest, and the roots, with his hands. No small feet as these bushes had prickly things all over them.
He filled up the buggy this high at least a dozen times, and dumped everything in the woods.
All said and done, take a look at this:
This is two solid days of work right here folks.
So happy that this project is completed.
Before and after
Want to know what else I’m happy about?
I’m happy that this was Sean’s project and I only had to write about it.
Sean, a job very well done!

Now we just need help stacking the rock into a nice pretty wall again. Who in?
