The heat is on (love), summer is in full gear (so happy) and the Fourth of July (my favorite holiday ever) is on Monday! And anyone that has been following my beloved blog knows that any and all holidays around here are centered around food!
I thought I would share with you a few easy recipes for you to prepare for the Country’s holiday, that will make your’s and your guest’s taste buds sing the Star Spangled Banner, starting with my Fried Chicken recipe.
The secret is in the brine and flavoring the batter. Juicy, tender and full of flavor, no one will be able to have just one piece. Recipe found here.
Natch, to go along side of the fried chicken is my Southern Potato Salad. Hands down, my favorite potato salad recipe. I’m not sure what makes my potato salad so addicting, but let me just tell you that I have been known to serve myself up a small leftover the next morning for breakfast. It’s that good! Recipe found here.
And why not amp up the s’mores game?!! My version of S’mores on a Cone is so tasty!! It all starts with Roasted Marshmallow Ice Cream. Let the kiddos help you with the roasting, and you’re on your way to devouring a s’more in a new and delicious way. Recipe found here.
And after all this, you’ll need to wet your whistle. My Watermelon Limeade will quench everyone’s thirst!! Recipe found here.
Stay tuned for tomorrow! I’m going to share even more DIY and entertaining ideas for the Fourth of July!
