I’m sharing a great tip today, one that I shared a few years ago. I felt this tip is so relevant, especially right now, because we’re all ordering more household items online that arrive blister-packed. You know what I mean – items like tools that come in heavy plastic packaging that is sealed tightly around the edges, making it almost impossible to open.
This Quick Tip is Invaluable!!
I often shake my head with bewilderment when it comes to packaging. Things that are delicate, like light bulbs, are packaged in flimsy cardboard, yet other nonbreakable things are packaged in those blister packs that are so laborious to open.
If you’re like me, before I knew of this quick tip, I would wrestle the packaging with scissors. I would try to tear open with my hands. I’ve even been known to grab some vice grips and use those. Regardless, 9 times out of 10, I would end up cutting myself and doing more harm to me rather than opening up the package.
Are you in the same boat as me?
How To Open A Blister Pack Safely
The answer is in the can opener. I don’t know why I didn’t try this method out earlier, as I tried out several other ways, but once I did, my blister pack opening dilemma was solved.
Take the can opener, and crank it as you would to open a jar, but follow the edge of the blister pack. Go all the way around, and then the top just pulls right up.
It’s truly that easy.
If I could just get back all that time I tried to wrestle and cut and pull, and all those band aids I would have to wear because I cut myself.
Hind sight is 20/20. This quick tip is a game changer.
And just for the record, I wanted to also share with you the tried and true can opener that won my testing and I use on a daily basis.
No more wrestling the packaging and cutting your hands. The can opener is the safe and easy way to open blister packs.
You’re welcome.
