As you know, I visited the Country Living Fair in Rhinebeck, New York this past weekend.
And I had a great time! Loved it.
The weather was perfect, in my opinion. It was hot. Sunny. I planned poorly and wore jeans. Way sweaty. But I was happy as a clam. I was visiting with all the vendors, hearing what they had to say. Taking it in.
I shopped, and got a few really cool things. Truly though, I went there with one thing in my mind that I wanted, and that was an antique dough bowl. I found the vendor that I remember had several last year for sale. So excited, I texted Sean to tell him that the vendor was back again this year.
Here’s how the conversation went:
Me: The dough bowl guy is back!
Sean: Cool. Just get a small one though.
But then the text went into the mode of typing what I knew he wanted to hear, but I was planning the opposite.
Me: ok.
Big it is.
So I picked one out that’s 4 feet long. It’s huge. Far from “small” but so great. I love it.
And after that, I found a beautiful vintage linen table cloth that I know I will use a lot.
I’m a sucker for marquee letters. Got my initials.
But then I saw Cari Cucksey of the hit HGTV show Cash and Cari. I introduced myself, gave her my card and thanked her for following me on Twitter and Instagram. I was thrilled to meet her!
Then right as we were leaving, I picked up scrabble letters for Be Fed Again.
It was a great fair, as always. I was happy to be there. I met some wonderful people, and had a really great time.
