My life-long dream of owning an old farmhouse included infinite thoughts of preserving all things old and living in a home of such character as an old farmhouse, but my dreams were also consumed with visions of Christmas decorating.
True story.
In fact, whenever I would dream about my someday farmhouse, my first thoughts were of how I was going to decorate for the holidays. And now that my dreams and fortune have come true, I feel like Rudolph leading the pack when the holiday decorations come out.
I do try to change things up a little from year to year, but I do find too, that a lot of my favorites get displayed in the same way, in the same place, each year.
Amen to tradition.
Please join me as I take you on a festive tour of our holiday home. Not much need for dialogue – the photos speak for themselves.
I’d like to say that we brought back our winter wonderland in the foyer, but truth is, it never left. Stayed up all year and probably will again. A breathtaking and magical vision to see when you walk in the front door. #hastletotakedown
Gotta have a little touch of fun. Oddly enough, the kids still haven’t noticed the added red nose…
We have 3 Christmas trees in our home. Here is the kitchen Christmas tree:
The wreath on our barn is over 3 feet wide. It looked big last year, but now the 20 foot flag makes the wreath look tiny.
From our home to your’s, Happy Holiday everyone!
