In life, doors open, and doors close.  Such is the way it is.  We all live by this montra in some form or another.  Lord knows, I have face planted into a few closed doors in my lifetime.

Sometimes though, one needs to face plant into a few closed doors before their vision comes to fruition. For me, these face plants only make my dreams stronger.  More alive.  This is where eagerness abounds and the psyche starts working in overdrive.

And today; today I’m being greeted with a door wide open, a door full of promise, creativity, inspiration and enthusiasm, and I invite you all, my friends, to dance through this door with me.

I am honored to partner with Poughkeepsie Journal Media with a new online video series called The DIY Dutchess!!  Under The DIY Dutchess umbrella, I’m going to bring you a weekly Tips column, along with pertinent videos, sharing how-to’s, gardening, cooking, and DIY quick tips, to inspire you and keep your day to day projects easier on the mind, and lighter on the budget.

Along with the weekly columns and videos, additional video episodes will be produced, sharing more advice on gardening, easy and delicious recipe instruction, solving those pesky decor dilemmas, organization suggestions, entertaining ideas, and of course, cost effective and budget friendly Do It Yourself project guidance.
