I have a few exciting things to share and a few random thoughts along the way. I’m sharing all things Christmas with amazing ideas and inspo!
Happy last Saturday of November. It’s been a busy month, a lot going on. Still a very productive one. With all of the projects and crafts and recipe testing, I have a few exciting things to share and a few random thoughts along the way. Cheers to Keeping Fed, November ’20.
I’m not known for being a sappy person, but this season I’ve been glued to the Hallmark channel. Every movie has basically the same plot, and the main characters don’t admit their love until there’s 5 minutes left, but I’m still hooked. It’s gotten to the point where Sean and the kids just roll their eyes. Whatevs.
We’re in full throttle Christmas decorating mode around here. I’m in heaven. We’re decorating the 1820 and the garden house, yet I’m scratching my head like “where in the world did all of this holiday decor come from?” Nothing like shopping the house, and guaranteed nothing here was purchased for less than 50% off. You know me and bargains. Stay tuned for both house tours!
In EXCITING NEWS: Every Wednesday in December, I will be hosting a Facebook Live at 8pm EST on my Farmhouse 1820 page!! I invite you all to join me! I’ll be sharing amazing holiday DIY craft and decor ideas, along with recipes and special coupon links! Please join me!!
On the blog in November, I shared some really cool DIY’s! Projects like a custom DIY rug from placemats, and a really pretty holiday centerpiece, and the GRAND FINALE OF THE GARDEN HOUSE REVEAL. November around these parts has been epic!!
And in other random yet very valuable news…
Do you have a lot of zoom meetings going on? How about a few random photo shoots? Then friends, you need some help in the lighting arena. I swear by this lighting set. And trust me when I say it will make you look fresh and fancy and quite a few years younger. You’re welcome.
We changed our sheets over to flannel, and it’s like being wrapped in the most cozy sweatshirt on the planet. I don’t know what took me so long, but these flannel sheets are AMAZING!!
Are you in the throws of decorating your Christmas tree? Check out how to keep your tree from falling, and how to prolong the needles on the tree. Both are tried and true, great quick tips!!
Growing up, my great Aunt Dot sent us pears for Christmas. My parents go ape over these pairs because they’re so delish. When Aunt dot passed away, I vowed to keep the tradition alive. Want to gift someone you love with the most delicious pears on the planet? Look no further.
And while I’m at it..
One of Sean’s friends from Jersey Boys, and numerous other Broadway shows, just published her first cookbook. It’s amazing!
I can’t function without a hot cup of this coffee in the morning.
I am all about this maple syrup.
This is the prettiest faux Christmas tree I ever did see.
Need a few fun holiday sweet treats? How about this one and this one.

Hi Maria,
Thank you so much! Stay tuned, I’m sharing our Christmas home tour this week!
So weird. For some strange reason, I’ve gone all soppy this month too. Much be something in the air 😉 Did you get that gorgeous Christmas tree?
Hi Michelle,
It was displayed in the window of a local store last year, and at the end of the season, they asked if I wanted it. I was like – “Umm yeah, of course!”
Christmas Hallmark movie watchers unite! LOL We typically don’t watch them either, but this year we just seem to have gotten sucked into the vortex – and we love it! Can’t wait to see what you create!
Vicki and Jenn,
You are so right, it is a vortex! So happy you’ll be on my FB live!! My lifelong blogger friends. 🙂
xoxo,
Brooke
Great post Brooke! I can’t function without coffee in the morning either :). Can’t do flannel or the Hallmark channel though; I sweat and ugly cry – lol!
🙂
Look forward to watching you live.
I’m so happy you’ll be there!
Great post, Brooke. Everything on your home is beautiful!
Thank you so much, Deana!!
So many great ideas. That Christmas tree is just amazing ours look nothing like that.
Thank you so much, Anita!
Ha, the Hallmark movies are repetitive. I stayed with my mom and she watches them and I was like..isn’t this the same thing that happened in the last movie? Lol. I am going to look into that cookbook!
Kim
Hi Kim,
True, so true!! Do check out the cookbook!
