We’re just about two weeks out and if you haven’t already, it’s time to plan your Thanksgiving feast. Whether you’re cooking the entire meal all on your own, or just making a dish or two to share at your family gathering, here are a few recipes that will help you with your cooking bonanza.
Starting with the star of the show, the turkey. As I share every year, the secret to the most delicious turkey is in the brine. To keep the turkey moist and flavorful, you must brine. It’s an easy process, really. With the help of a 5 gallon bucket from Home Depot or Lowe’s, brine your thawed turkey for up to 24 hours. Since most don’t have room in their fridge for said turkey brining process, place the brining bucket in a cooler and surround with ice. As the ice melts, add more. And remember to cover the bucket with a lid or foil. Here’s the how-to.
Although the turkey is a must, it’s the side dishes that steal the show. Here are a three easy recipes to get your Thanksgiving planning started. Click on each photo to see the recipe.
